Yahya Alex Eskandari's Obituary
Yahya Alex Eskandari, 80, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2017 after a thirteen year long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Iran on April 22, 1937 and spent the last 40 years of his life as a resident of Oakland, CA. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in civil engineering and went on to get his Master’s degree from San Jose State University. He had a fifty year career as a Professional Engineer in Iran and the United States.He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Marie Correro Eskandari, his children Mitra Eskandari-Luick and David Eskandari, his grandchildren Shireen and Roshan, his son-in-law Max Luick, his three surviving siblings in Iran : Akram, Mahin, and Jahangir, many nieces and nephews (over 100!) in the United States, Europe, and Iran, and his many dear friends from the last 60 years.
