I am so glad I was able to know Alex and wish I could have known him even better. I especially admired his dry sense of humor and determination to overcome obstacles. I addition to his love for his family, I loved how he cared dearly for his neighbor’s barking, begging dog even if wasn’t really a “dog person”. My condolences to Marie, Davie, Mitra, and the whole family. May you find healing in your many memories.

I’m deeply sorry to hear that Yayha has passed away. Although he’s now gone, I will always have and will always cherish the memories I have of our time together in Iran. Circumstances meant that we sadly saw less of each other later in life but he was always in my thoughts and in my heart. I’m sorry we can’t be with you Marie, Metra and David but Alexei, Tanya and I will be thinking about you all tomorrow and we’ll be lighting a candle for Yayha.All our love always Jahangir, Alexei and Tanya (and Brenda from heaven) xxxx
