Vas Uncle was an amazing person I always had the pleasure of spending time with. He would be the one that always had a unique perspective for just about any topic and made you wonder and second guess your own perspective. I always enjoyed, learned from, and looked forward to hearing his point of view. He was also a caring, compassionate human being, fully vested in his friends and family, and who would always be there, ready and willing to help no matter what the situation.
We will miss him so much. Our deepest condolences to the family.
With lots of love,

Dear Shalu,
Naiya and I offer our sincere condolences. Vas was such a genuine and loving person, and I will always treasure my memories of how warmly the two of you welcomed me whenever I visited your home.

I have fond memories of Uncle Vas when he and Aunty Shalu visited us in Rockville MD . He did magic tricks for the kids, told jokes and his love of life, and children was clear for all to see and enjoy. I also had the privilege of playing tennis with him and my father and we did have a enjoyable game. You leave a good legacy and have created many moments of joy for your family , friends, children and acquaintances. Rest In Peace Uncle . Love Namrata Ram , Adrian and Serena

I first met Vas Uncle as a 8 year old boy. My parents use to take me to his house (or other mutal friend's house) on Saturday evenings get togethers. We did this for about 10 years. I rememeber three things about Vas Uncle. First, he stood up for the younger kids, like me, when the older kids would be unreasonable. He always volunteered to be an arbiter to find a compromise between kids. And his solutions always made the older kids and younger kids like each side won (i.e. a true negotiator). Second, Vas Uncle was jovial and liked to joke. He would not mind being the target of the joke because he knew he could bring smiles to everyone's faces. Third, he contributed his patented wisdom and advice to any conversation, making you think harder and elevating conversations that much more. He made all of us that much smarter.
Vas Uncle treated me (and many others) as his own kids. I will miss his smile, humor, and his innate ability to connect with others. Rest in peace, Uncle.
