Here is a video I made for Suzy’s 88th Birthday. You will see faces of the many that admired and loved her and her children back in the day. You might also note Suzy did not like her picture being taken. Enjoy the memories.
Mar 13 at 3:51 PM I cherish the memories I have of Suzy from the days of our Girl Scout outings with our daughters to the precious times we had together learning the correct pronunciations of English (For Suzy) and Japanese (For me) She was a good and patient teacher, and learner. I enjoyed so much our “classroom” times together, and will never forget her friendship. Suzy will always be remembered by our family. Sincerely, Helen Sobaje
Our sincere condolences and sympathy to Suzy’s family and friends. Our friendship goes back over 50 years and I will always cherish the memories of our visits when I was a teenager, living in Fremont. My mom, Alice Baptista, and Dad, John Baptista, were close friends of Suzy and Toby. She made the best fried rice and those wonderful, Cream Puffs. She was always smiling and welcomed us as family. I was fortunate to have seen her not too long ago, at my Aunt Lucy Memorial Service. I will never forget how happy we both were to see each other and how she would meet my daughter for the first time. Suzy told her, about my mom, her Grandmother, and how close they were and how she resembled my mom. Suzy was a remarkable women, as is her family. May she rest in peace and be re united with my mom and dad once again. Our thoughts are with the Hirabayashi family at this difficult time. Love,Janet and Frank Courter
I have known Suzie for many, many years. The memories of her I will never lose. I remember her friendship with our family, especially with my mom. I remember the surprise birthday party for her, that she thought she was attending for someone else. I remember her delicious cream puffs, and giving me the rice candies. She was a great woman, with a beautiful family, and she was my baby sitter. Our condolences to the family. John & Sue Baptista Loveland, CO
