I always thought he was a cutie pie in high school. He did fight hard and I will forever remember his smile as he pushed through. Mr. Clark was one of those patients you never forget. He carried a quiet kindness that filled the room, even on the busiest days. No matter how hectic things got, I could always count on seeing his smile—steady, genuine, and full of warmth.
Even from across the room, we would acknowledge each other with a simple wave. It was a small gesture, but it always meant something. In the middle of everything, those moments stood still—reminders of the connection and humanity that make this work so special.
Mr. Clark had a way of lighting up the space around him without even trying. His presence brought comfort, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of caring for him.
He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. His smile, his spirit, and those quiet moments of connection will always stay with me.
I met Scott and Kathy in the hospital and I told Scott he looked like Kirk Douglas and we werebest friends after that. I loved his smile and appreciation for everything. And Kathy is the most gracious, loving woman I have ever met.
Scott was getting discharged from the hospital one day and they were hurrying him out at lunch time, his tray came as my co- worker Veronica was putting him in his wheelchair, Scott told her he was starving and she told him she had to wheel him downstairs, so she gave him his plate of spaghetti a fork and a napkin and he ate that spaghetti all the way downstairs. lol Veronica became known as Spaghetti Girl. Every moment with Scott was an example on how to approach life. His example will live on in this world even after he went on to the next. He led by example, no words necessary, just living right made you follow the correct path. He worked hard, but made it fun. He shared knowledge freely, once telling me he wanted to teach my sons everything he knew before he meets the Lord. He persevered through tough times in good cheer, showing that you can still enjoy life while going through the trials that are inevitable in life. He blessed us all with his presence.
We are heartbroken as we say goodbye, but deeply grateful that we were blessed to know Scott.
Scott was a men of quiet strength and unwavering faith, someone who didn’t just speak about kindness but lived by it.
To our children, you were more than a neighbor you were like grandfather. You took the time to play, to teach, and share little lessons that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
And I will never forget how ypu laughed at my accent. How something small became shared joke and brought us joy.
I found myself saying word “weird” more than usual because it made you smile.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing your faith has brought you home.
Heaven gained someone truly special, and we will carry your light with us always.
