Samuel Shauf 's Obituary
Samuel Shauf, 91, of Hayward, CA, passed away on January 17, 2020.
He was born on April 1, 1928, in Baliti, Sapangbato, Pampanga province, in the Philippines. Samuel Shauf graduated from high school. He pursued a college education and received a scholarship from the Mapua Institute of Technology swim team, when WW2 was declared.
He married his wife, Amparo Morales on February 15, 1949. They were married for 52 years until she passed away in 2001.
Samuel Shauf served in the United States Air Force for over 30 years. He was a member of the Angeleños Association and also joined the Elk Lodge at Clark Air Force Base, and became a mason. He had a passion for watching sports like boxing and basketball. He loved his favorite Golden State Warriors, particularly Stephen Curry.
Samuel Shauf had 9 children: Priscilla Aganon, Eugene Shauf, Eleanor Torres, Glenn Shauf (d.), Evangeline Tiatco (d.), Grace Salapare, Cynthia de Guzman, Carla Lee and Noel Shauf; 18 grandchildren: Christine & John Aganon, Maureen Sapiga, Elaine & Eugene Shauf Jr., Alex, Jasam & Arnold Torres, Mark Tiatco, Michelle, Joshua & Daniel Salapare, Jeremy & Jordan de Guzman, Carlo & Chad Lee, Stephen & Noel Shauf Jr.; 9 siblings: Norman Shauf (d.), Ruben Shauf (d.), James Shauf (d.), Rose Shauf (d.), Eliseo Shauf (d.), Jacob Shauf, Eileen Gonzales, Evelyn Alfonso & Ricardo Manuson. He also had 12 great-grandchildren.
Both the Viewing & Funeral will be held inside the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary: 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544

Saturday, February 1, 2020, 9am - 12pm.
(Service at 10:00am with Entombment immediately following).
