Richard Earl Thompson's Obituary
Richard Earl Thompson, Past Master of Redwood City Lodge 168, was born on October 20th, 1926. He lived in Redwood City for most of his life and worked for Varian Associates for over 30 years. He has two degrees, one in electrical engineering and the other in teaching. He was an early pioneer in repairing, installing and teaching Linear Accelerators to physicists and therapists, which allowed him to travel the world. During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Sue, and spending time with his family and friends. In 2008, he moved to Union City into the Acacia Creek Masonic Retirement Community. Richard Earl Thompson passed away on July 15th, 2017. He joins his wife Sue and their son, Terry. He leaves his son Richard; son David and wife Carrie; son Michael and wife Debbie and son Jeffrey; Granddaughter Melissa and husband Adam; Granddaughter Ashlie and husband Michael; Granddaughter April; Granddaughter Lindsey; Grandson Bradley; Granddaughter Jamie; and great grandchildren Jessica, Haley, Lillie, and Michael Jr.
