I didn’t know Mrs. Nelson personally. I knew her from her daughter Sheree. Sheree would always talk about how great her mother was. She was a great mother. I heard wonderful stories. One where Mrs. Nelson found a case of whipping cream in the can and said, “whip cream fight!” Everyone got smothered in whip cream, then she would line up the kids and hose them down! Mrs. Nelson sounded like a very fun mom who welcomed all the kids from the neighborhood! I wish my mom was like Mrs. Nelson. Watching Sheree go through this will help me when it is my time to grieve.
