Peggy Ann Gonsalves (Berry) August 21,1935 – July 4, 2016Loved Daughter of the late, Raymond and Elsie Berry. Loved Sister to Raymond, Nina and Dennis Berry and the late, Marlene Aguire. Very loved Mother of Mark Jesse and the late, William Anthony Gonsalves. Grandmother to Sheri Lynn, William Anthony, Justin Joseph and Anthony Michael Gonsalves along with several great grandchildren and Wife of Richard John Alexander for forty years. Peggy passed away on the early evening of Monday July 4, 2016 at her home in Hayward, California after a long battle with cancer of which she fought extremely hard even taking lengthly walks almost every day for sometimes, one half mile and up to only two months before finally succumbing to her illness.She was always very hard working and extremely dedicated to what ever she did for most of her life while employed at a variety of places such as Mother’s Cookies in Oakland, Western Electric in San Leandro and over 20 years as a machinist for Ran-Rob Inc. in Oakland. She was an excellent mother and very well provider to both of her son’s for whom she had tremendous, relentless and unconditional love. Also known for her kindness and huge generosity while often putting many before herself and sometimes even for those she barely knew. There is truly not a single doubt that she is now in a very special place just for angels. While never forgotten, she will also be terribly missed by her loved ones and by all who were blessed to know this wonderful woman. May she forever rest in peace.
