Paul P. Monte's Obituary
Paul P. Monte, 63, of Hayward died at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sep. 13, 2017, in Fremont, California of a heart attack.Paul was born on Sep. 24, 1953 in Redwood City, California to Manuel and Josephine Monte. He married Deborah (Crastes) Monte in March of 1974. Together, they had two sons, Paul C. Monte and Christopher M. Monte.Paul had a passion for traveling and seeing new sights (and some of the same, over and over again) with his wife and family. He was always on the go, searching for the next great deal, never one to sit idle at home. After suffering a major heart attack in 1995 he decided to get the most out of his life, and he did. He never lived in fear but rather made the most of every day he was given. His other hobbies included motorcycles, sporting events (especially his kids & grandkids), live music and enjoying great food. Paul worked for 42 years at Pacific Bell, SBC and AT&T as a Manager in several locations in the Bay Area. He retired in 2014.He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Crastes) Monte of Hayward, his sons Paul Jr and his wife Jessica of Turlock, and Christopher and Angelina Monte of Castro Valley, along with five grandchildren; Ayla, Reese and Paul III of Turlock and Bryce and Danica of Castro Valley. He is also survived by his mother, Josephine Monte of Union City and brother John Monte of Union City.He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Monte.A memorial will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday Sep 19, at the Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home in Hayward, Ca. Friends and family may visit the Funeral Home at any time between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
