Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Monte family. To his mom Josephine, we are so sorry for your loss. To his beautiful wife and our dear friend Debbie, our hearts break for you and we love you. To Paul Jr. and Chris, we ask that God bring you peace and comfort as you mourn the loss of your dad.We will always remember Paul with the fondest of memories. He was so much fun to be around and such a inspiration as we watched him fight to survive his first heart attack in 1995. Paul was a great guy and loved life. He will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure to know him. May God bring comfort and peace to his entire family knowing that someday they will all be reunited together again in heaven with The Lord Jesus Christ. Mick and Vickie Hamner
Knowing Paul since grade school was special in deed. From his days of playing baseball at the elementary school(George Hall) till the days we Graduated Hillsdale High School. I was there when he got his first job, date, and car. Always a person to want to get ahead, Paul worked at 12 years of age for the San Mateo Times as a PaperBoy. Even though he was suppose to be 14! I think his Dad pulled some strings. At 15 we went to work at Buffys Pizza in Lauriedale. He as a Pizza cook and I as a kitchen helper. He made enough money to buy his first car a 1962 Olds StarChief. Big car which he later sold and bought a brown VW Bug with a OOGA Horn. When things got slow at the Pizza Parlor, some got laid off and Paul landed a job with the phone Company collecting coins from pay phones. At 17 he bought his Maroon colored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. He loved that car and I even more! I bought it from him 2 years later. At Graduation, Paul and I sat together and afterwards instead of going to the all night school party at the bowling alley, we headed to Half Moon Bay and built a Bon Fire on the Beach. Several other people joined us and we talked for hours about future plans. Over the years since then Paul and I would keep in touch by phone or in person. He grew as a loving father, Husband and Grand Father. And always talked Fondly of his family when we talked. It was just 3 weeks ago I saw Paul at the Giants baseball gameā¦He was looking well. He will be missed! RIP my old friend.
