What a delightful conversationalist was Patrick, and that, with Nadrina’s warmth, made breaking the ice easy when he met some of us from his birth family. Too quick, too short was the time knowing Patrick.

My condolences to the family! I will keep you in prayer! 🙏🏾
You were my first friend when I moved to Hayward. All the years passed by and we still managed to laugh, goof, and ponder the same things. Rest easy, Brother; Until final manifest.
RIP 🙏🏼
I will always remember Patrick’s career at the California School for the Blind - - how much I respected and enjoyed working with him, and how much I admired his tremendous commitment to his students.
We did many a CSB concert together, and even after leaving CSB, I believe Patrick returned to assist the Music Director with one final concert on his own time. That’s just the kind of person Patrick was.
My thoughts and prayers are with Nadrina and family at this very difficult time. In my heart I know that Patrick will truly be with us forever.
Sincerely,

Patrick was a loving husband, father as well as a wonderful son in law. A good friend to many including myself. He once sent me a card thanking me for all I did. There are many memories I have of him but going to Apple Hill was special.
Patrick drove Nadrina and I to Apple Hill every year. It was our annual get together. We would start off with breakfast and then visit as many farms as we could. Patrick would always ask "Where would you like to go now?" after snapping as many pictures as he could.
I'm glad we were able to make that trip in the Fall of 2025, never knowing that would be the last.
We shared apple donuts one of Patrick's favorites and desserts before the trip back down the hill.
I cherish those memories as well as many conversations about our education system and politics.
Farwell my friend until we meet again on the other side.
God bless,
Rona Martin
