Norma was born on February 7, 1927 in Abucay, Bataan, Philippines to parents Simeona and Urbano and was the second oldest of five siblings. She graduated from Centro Escolar University with her degree in Pharmacy. She married her husband Jose in September of 1949. During their 57 years of marriage, they were blessed with three daughters: Teresita, Rosana, and Ofelia. In 1987, she and Jose migrated to the United States, and made their home together in Union City, California.
Norma was devoted to caring for her family and siblings as a young woman. She later showed that same devotion to caring for her own children and grandchildren. She was known for her generosity and her impeccable dress sense and often left people in awe of her ability to put care into her appearance no matter the circumstance. Her skills did not just extend to physical appearance; she made sure to impart important and practical wisdom to her children to instill the values of hard work, business, and family.
Her devout Roman Catholic faith played an important role in her life and she generously dedicated her time and charity to the church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose, and daughter, Ofelia.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Teresita and Rosana, and grandchildren William, Patrick, Katherine, and Avigail.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://act.alz.org/donate.
