God’s Gentle Call for Grandma – Tristan Jeremy Obligacion
(I was with my grandma for forty-three days at the hospital and only missed two days, being there by her bedside.
I wrote a poem titled “God’s Gentle Call for My Grandma)
God saw you growing weary,
Your strength began to wane.
Forty-four long days you fought,
Yet freedom eased the pain.
No earthly cure could heal you,
So He held you close and near.
With loving arms, He whispered,
“Come with Me, my dear.”
With tearful eyes, we watched you,
As softly you let go.
Though we longed to keep you here,
Heaven called—you had to go.
A golden heart fell silent,
On February ninth, that night.
Hardworking hands found rest at last,
In love, in peace, in light.
God broke our hearts to show us,
Though sorrow fills this space,
He only calls the very best.
To His eternal grace.
