McKinley Bagby Sr's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Mckinley Eugene Bagby, Sr (A.K.A. Mac, Kenny, and Magic) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Mac was born on September 7, 1948 in Oakland, CA to the union of Mack OC Bagby and Artonsie Willie Tucker Bagby, both of whom proceeded him in death. Mac was the oldest of three siblings. Mac was employed with Chevron Refinery in Richmond, CA as a machinist. He was there from 1969 until he retired in 1997 at the age of 48. After retirement, he worked at Oakland Parks and Recreation for 10 years. Mac had a great passion for sports. He played baseball throughout his youth and then semi pro for a short time after. He continued to play baseball on several traveling softball teams and was a member of the Black Softball Association until the age of 57 when he retired from playing sports.. He was also a referee for football, basketball, and baseball for most of his adult years. Mac had a love for motorcycles. He was a member of the Headhunters motorcycle club since 1974. He will be greatly missed by all of his club brothers. Mac is survived by his life companion and girlfriend Donna Loggins, sister Sharron Taylor, brother John Bagby, 3 children Elizabeth, McKinley Jr, and Deshanda, 7 grandchildren Michanne, Aliah, Christopher, Khadijah, Dejanae, Tia, and Jaylen, 2 great grandchildren Alexis and Janiyah, niece and nephew Jasmine and Mcervin Bagby, and a host of family and friends.
