Kathy L.K. Kauka Newman, 62, passed away on August 6, 2016 in Hayward, California. She was born January 22, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kathy was a proud Mom, loving Grams, and generous friend.Kathy is survived by her children, daughter Maile Lynn and her husband Jason Chitty of Fremont; son Ryan Joseph Newman of Castro Valley and grandson Marcelo Kekoa Chitty. She is also survived by 2 brothers Earl and Eric, 2 sisters; Erlynne and Marlene and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl Kila and Emmaline Cecilia Kauka and her sister Anna.A Celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Sunday, August 28 at 6:00 pm in the Reflections Chapel at The Chapel of the Chimes located at 32992 Mission Boulevard in Hayward California, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kathy’s life.A private burial will take place on Monday, August 29th at The Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
