I first met Kathy at the end of our Junior year at Tennyson High. We became immediate friends. I have many wonderful memories of Kathy. One very fun one is the time that Hope, Kathy, Keri, Teri, and I went to visit I believe Hope’s cousin at the Air Force Base. We met some guys on the freeway (won’t say how we met). We exchanged phone numbers. The guys came down to the Bay Area a few times. We all played football and partied. Even Kathy’s sister Erylnne joined in the fun with us. They were cute bunch of Navy guys. Kathy and I always kept in touch. She always called me on my birthday. When we talked we laughed, we cried, and just leaned on each other…a very true friend. She was so excited when she had Maile, then Ryan. She truly loved her children. Even more excitement when she became a Grandma to Koa. Even though we chose different paths in life, I knew she was there to hold my hand and I to hold her hand. I love you Kathy and I miss you very much. Love, Karen Harper
