My dear dear Aunty…..There are so many memories I could share from your laughter, your teasing, your spunkiness, your stubborness, your awesome cooking to your memorable “Gon funnit!” as you balled your hand in a fist! My most treasured memories are the teachable moments, the example you gave all of us of how to put family first above everything, to love unconditionally and to open your heart to people. You always made all of us feel at home and for me, you were like my second mom and I just cant fully explain just how much I love you. Thank you for all that you have given me and the love you gave so freely. Thank you for loving my children in such a way that they felt just as special. Thank you for showing me how to make gandule rice and long rice! yummy! Thank you, thank you, thank you just for making my life so much richer and blessing me my whole entire life!! I wonder if you and your sisters realize what a gift you gave all of us cousins…You 5 sisters were so close and spent so much time together that us cousins grew up close as well. We have all grown in separate directions with our own families but we still feel the closeness when we are together because you sisters gave us that foundation! Thank you! I will miss you so much aunty and I am so thankful for my visit that I had with you a few days before you could no longer talk to us. You made my day that day sharing with me a rare glimpse into how life was like when my mom and dad were just beginning to date! It was sooooo awesome! I will treasure the last words you said to me as I was leaving that day — you grabbed my face and looked straight in my eyes and said: I really really love you too! Oh Aunty I am so sad for us but so totally happy for you! You will be with all your loved ones that you have been missing especially your handsome husband again –my dear Uncle Johnny! Grandma, my heart hurts…. I love you so much Grandma!!! And although the pain is great, I know in my heart and soul that you are so very happy in heaven with Grandpa right now. And although none of us down here know exactly how to properly communicate with you I would think that leaving a message like this would somehow, someway make it’s way to you. With that said, I want to say Thank You for loving me, taking care of me, never judging me and being there for me EVERY DAY for my entire life. Thank you for all the delicious meals, especially the ones you would make special for me before all of my games. As time went by your consistent love never wavered but only got stronger. And I cannot even begin to find the words to express my love for you Grandma. And thank you as well for opening your beautiful heart to my wife Rachel and my babies Naomi and Natalie as well as Jonathan. You loved them all SO very much and it showed. I was telling Connie yesterday that now with you gone and Grandpa before you the world seems like an era has passed and has left me a bit confused to tell the truth but like Uncle Ronald said, it’s just the cycle of life… and someday when my time is up I look forward to giving you a big kiss and hug and having you show me around in your new home. I remeber one time you took me for a walk with peny. I rember you yoost too cook so much good food for me. When you came too my house we love too spend time with you. I LOVE YOU.
Grandma words cannot explain how much I truly love you and how much you will be missed.you have always played a big part in my life and have been there since day one.I have so many good memories with you from you sewing dresses together and customizing my clothes to making my favorite meals and always saying things to make me laugh…the list is endless and I am thankful for everything that you’ve done for me.
