In Loving Memory of Harriet F. Olson, longtime resident of Hayward, passed away peacefully in her home on March 3rd, 2016.Born to Harriet Macintosh and Oscar Julious Carlson in Barnesville, Minnesota on October 10th, 1928, Harriet Florence began her long life of loving family and glamorous good times. She was “Miss Hayward” in 1948 and soon married her beloved Alfred Britt Olson. The couple was blessed with two children, Steven Britt (Marilyn) (Laurie), and David Edward. Harriet counts 7 grandchildren: Britt Alfred (Georgia), Tina Louise, David, Debbie, Mitchell, Brian, and Kim; 4 great grandchildren: Alisha, Steven, Brittany, Baby Mitchell; and 3 great great grandchildren: Georgia, Baby Steven, and Aleena.Harriet will be remembered for her great love of family. She enjoyed glamour and fashion, bowling, golfing, skating, bingo, gambling, camping, and traveling. She was known for always having flawless hair and makeup. Harriet was loving, caring, patient, and always generous in her care and concern for others. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
