August 14, 2016 First – let me clarify – I never have clear dreams and I never remember them. Last night, I had the most incredible “dream”/”experience”…… I was on a bridge and Grandma Grace showed up. She looked amazing and had on a long, flowy white dress. I said Hi Grandma and she said Hi Dawn. I told her that she looked amazing and she said that she was feeling so much better now. I cried and told her how very sorry I was to not have made it down to see her before she passed away and she took my hand and said that it was ok and that she understood and that she loved me very much. We talked a little more about how much I missed her and loved her and then I noticed that she was carrying a bunch of colorful glass bottles. I asked her what they were and she said that they were just water, with a little bit of her inside each bottle. She wanted to give them to everyone that she loved and ask them to pour them out wherever they wanted to remember her at — putting a little bit of her all around us. She gave me a bottle and hugged me, telling me again that she would love me forever and that everything was now ok. When I woke up — every detail was crystal clear and still is. I don’t know that I’ve believed in visits from souls before – but, I truly believe that Grandma came and talked to me last night. I felt so much more at peace when I woke up, than I have been feeling for weeks. I know she is fine and she is feeling so much better than being here and being sick. And, she looks so great. I will always remember Grace as a fun loving free spirit. She was my husband’s cousin. One year we went on vacation with my parents to Ensenada, Mexico and there she was with one of her daughters! what a nice surprise. We never lost touch, every year we would send each other Christmas cards. When she couldn’t write anymore, she had someone else do it but we always got one! I will miss your Christmas card this year Grace. I know you are in a better place and I will always remember you. Love, Hilda Armijo.

My Grandmother was always the center of our family. She was my rock who gave me strength and showed me unconditional tough love my entire life. I will miss her so much, but am especially grateful for the quality time we shared most recently, over the past few years. Sitting by her side, holding her hand and hearing her tell me how much she loves me has helped heal my heart. She is at peace. I love you Granny. I love you so much. You were so good to all of us!

I will always remember the first time I met Gracie, I think it was in 1991… I worked with Bill at the golf course, and he was teaching me HVAC repair. I was up on the roof working with him, when he went downstairs for something. When he returned, he had Gracie in tow. She went up the ladder to the roof to meet me! She had been nervous to go up, and when she asked how she was supposed to get up there, Bill said just put one foot in front of the other and I’ll be right behind you. After my introduction to her, they headed back down to the ground level, and she asked how she was supposed to get down, and Bill said the same way you got up here. I have kept in touch with Grace and Bill all these years, and would drop in and see them to visit when I could. If it had been too long between visits, Gracie would always call me and leave a message that they were very old and I needed to come and see them right away, which always worked to get me to call and schedule the next visit. I was fortunate enough to see Grace just a month or so ago during my last visit. My sincerest condolences to Bill and Grace’s family. I will always hold the fondest memories of our friendship. Woody
