Mr. Gordon Paul Sherwood's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Gordon P. Sherwood, born on Jan 28, 1952 in Oakland CA, where he lived until age three and half, moved to San Leandro and lived there until 1979, moved to Hayward till his final journey. His parents were Ivan C. and Ellen B. Sherwood, he was the second of four children. He attended the following schools : Marina high school, Chabot Junior College, he earned the AA degree. After graduation he began a career at Johnson Controls manufacturing, he retired in 2007 after serving for 30 years. After retirement he enjoyed fishing, gardening and visiting with friends. He was never married, he served in the Air Force from 8/28/1970 to 04/05/1974, he attained the rank of Sergeant. He was intelligent, playful, generous, resourceful, and full of wisdom. His favorite hobbies :Gardening, fishing and reading, and favorite music, songs: The Wind Cries Marry And Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town. He survived by his beloved sister, brother-Susan and Robert and six nieces and nephews
