When my mom was pregnant for me my, father worked nights and George would visit my mother and bring her Rocky Road ice cream. Its the only thing she enjoyed (i guess). Till today I dislike chocolate ice cream especially Rocky Road ice cream. Ha ha ha George was a wonderful man and loved growing up and going to his house with all the cars. Ke akua please watch over the Acia Family in their time of need. RIP George xoxoxo
I didn’t know Mr. Acia very long or very well. We met when he was at Baypoint Healthcare in Hayward during 2013. Mr. Acia was nice. He smiled. Not much helped during that time of my life but Mr. Acia’s kindness I will always remember. Tina, to you and your family I send my heartfelt condolenses. Thank you and your family for the experience of knowing your dad, you and your sisters. William Davis
One of saddest days was hearing of the passing of this kind and gentle spirit, George Acia, whom I warmly called my Uncle, even though he was not blood. I will always have the happiest of memories of going to his and Auntie Frances’ home and being treated like blood family! The kindest of people. Also their children, wonderful, warm, with the true Hawaiian way! He had a beautiful musical talent that can never be touched, I remember that from a child! The music still rings in my ears and in my heart! My heartfelt sincere condolences and love to the entire Acia family, especially Auntie Frances. He was dearly loved by all, and will be missed every day. His absence will leave a hole that can never be filled. May you be in that beautiful place that God promises us, playing your beautiful music, for if anyone has a place in heaven it is truly you Uncle George. Aloha, only for now. with love, Beverly Pestana Dominici
Frances and the Acia Family, It was with heartfelt sadness that I learned of George’s passing. George was a legend in his own right and there will never be another. His legacy and love for music will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. I personally will remember the Saturday night PRUMA dances, the Sunday ladies softball games followed by more music at PRUMA, the countless parties and family visits to his home. The Puerto Rican community is richer for his having lived. I am fortunate to have known him, making and sharing many memories along the way. May you find comfort at this time of sorrow knowing others share your loss. We shall all miss him. Carol (Santiago) Vargas
Our sincere condolences to the Acia Family. George was loved by many & will be remembered as a fine man. From, the Burriss Family
