Florence Ann Dadey's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Florence Ann Dadey, long time resident of Hayward.Florence was born on December 20th, 1947 to Irene and Gilbert Garcia. She was the eldest of three children. She graduated from Tennyson High School in 1967 and married the love of her life, James Dadey in 1975. Florence became a devoted mother of Gilbert, Robert and Oscar, always very involved in the boys’ Little League and other activities.Florence would want to be remembered as loving, caring and giving of herself to others. She loved Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, the Oakland Raiders, WWF wrestling and crossword puzzles. The most important moments in her life were the arrival of her three sons, and her annual celebration of Elvis’ birthday with a special guitar cake.Florence is survived by her siblings Les Garcia and Kathy Garcia; three sons Gilbert Dadey, Robert Dadey, Oscar Dadey; eleven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21st, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. A memorial procession will tour the memorable places in Hayward from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, followed by graveside burial services at Chapel of the Chimes. Those who wish to celebrate Florence’s life are invited to bring a dish to a picnic at Ruus Park after the burial.
