Everett Cecil Colson's Obituary
February 4,1940 - January 6,2021
Everett passed away January 6, 2021 after a brief battle with dementia. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Guennet, his sister Dee Ross, five daughters and many grandchildren.
Everett was born to Cecil and Waneta Colson on February 14, 1940 in McMinnville, Oregon. He grew up in Port Orford, Oregon and in 1962 received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. He was soon hired by TWA in San Francisco where he worked in aircraft maintenance for thirty nine years. When American Airlines acquired
TWA in 2001 Everett worked for them for another nine years until he retired in 2010. During his time at work Everett was known by his coworkers as the real life MacGyver and was called on many times for his special abilities.
Everett and Guennet married March 7, 2002 and were committed to each other for almost 19 years. Everett spent a lot of his free time working on cars, private airplanes and happily helping friends with any mechanical problems they may have had.
Guenett and all the rest of us will sorely miss him. Graveside services will be at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward Monday January 18, 2021.
