Eula Diann Pondela's Obituary
Eula Diann Pondela (Moilanen) (Branscum), 71, passed away during the early morning of Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 at her home in Ripon, California.She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 30th, 1945 to LeRoy Branscum and Lela Branscum (Corander), both of Burnside, Kentucky. She moved from Ohio to California in 1959, and was a resident of Ripon for over 15 years.Diann loved Jesus and her family above all else.She liked Betty Boop, quilting, playing Pogo games, listening to Elvis, and collecting dolls, music boxes and memorabilia from the 1950s. She loved family get-togethers, and always invited everyone over for big holiday dinners. She spent a lot of time recording family genealogy, and loved to travel, especially when she could visit family and do research on family history.Diann is survived by her husband Les Pondela, her three sons, Michael Moilanen, Travis Moilanen, and Jason Moilanen, as well as her brother Harold Branscum, sister June Wilkinson, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. We love her dearly, and will miss her greatly.She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Kathleen Fischer, Charlene Poynter, Betty Brock, Bill Branscum, Gerold Branscum, James Leroy Branscum, Dean Branscum, Patricia Branscum, Don Branscum, Charles Branscum and Gail Branscum. Services for Diann will be held on Monday, March 7th, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. A viewing will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 6th, also at Chapel of the Chimes.
