Twenty-nine years ago, Enice came back to Nebraska to attend her best friend’s funeral. Enice and my Mother-in- Law, Marian Wilkins, shared many wonderful times in high school, as well as many years later. She stayed with me during that time for about a week and we had such a wonderful time together. My Mom had passed away, only five months prior to Marian and I had a closet full of beautiful clothes that fit her perfectly. I remember how excited she was to receive them! I could think of no one more deserving of my Mom’s clothes than Enice. She was overjoyed and we packed an extra suitcase so she could take them home to California. Over the years, my husband, Denny, and I would travel to the San Francisco area for school board conventions, and I would take BART out to Hayward to visit my dear friend. Enice became such an important role model for me, giving me advice and sharing very special times together. I loved her outlook on life, her laughter, and her spunky attitude! I admired her and loved her so very much, and will miss her greatly! Fly with the angels, my dear friend❣️️ I will never forget you❣️️ Char Wilkins Conway
