Charlene would always sing the Champs Elysee song in french class so enthusiastically along with Stephanie. The last time we talked, it was reconnecting over that memory and her successes after high school. It was very sad to hear of her passing.
Thinking of Charlene. Thinking of her life, and how beautiful she was. Her taste in music and food were flawless, and her science was always inspiring. I will miss our eating adventures in SF, there’s no one I’d rather complain about science while splitting a strange plate of food. Her energy will always be around, feeding new scientific endeavors and culinary explorations.
