Arthur was born on September 13, 1945, in the Philippines to Lorenzo and Gaudencia Yap. Raised with strong values, deep faith, and a quiet determination, he carried those qualities with him throughout his life. His journey eventually led him to build a life rooted in love, family, and generosity.
He married the love of his life, Sonia Galang, and together they shared 52 remarkable years of marriage. Their partnership was a testament to devotion and resilience, and their home was filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Arthur and Sonia were blessed with three beautiful daughters, who were the pride and joy of his life. He poured his heart into fatherhood, offering guidance, humor, and a steady presence that shaped their lives in lasting ways.
Arthur will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his kindness toward everyone he met, and the quiet strength that defined him. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, and he approached life with positivity and joy. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the lessons he imparted, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his devoted wife Sonia, daughters Ava, Armi and Ana, son-in-law Patrick (Armi’s husband), grandson Mason (Armi’s child), oldest sister Milliet, brother Eddie, youngest sister Amy, his nieces and nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
