He is survived by his devoted wife, Mitali Kapoor, their beloved son, Krish Kapoor, his cherished brother, Ameesh Kapoor, and his parents, Ashok and Neena Kapoor, whose hearts ache immeasurably at his passing. Ameet left his loving family and friends on March 6, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana, taken from them far too soon at the age of 49.
A distinguished professional, Ameet built an exemplary career as a Partner at EY, earning the deep respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. He led with integrity, sharp intellect, and a genuine care for the people he worked with. His professional journey was a testament to his relentless drive and his belief that excellence and compassion were never mutually exclusive.

His laughter filled every room he entered, and his love for his family was the compass that guided everything he did. A passionate 49ers fan and devoted KISS fan for life, he brought that same fierce loyalty and enthusiasm to everything he loved. He lived fully, loved deeply, and left an imprint on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
