Chapel of the Chimes Hayward recently hosted a Flag Retirement Ceremony with the Knights of Columbus Bishop Floyd Begin Assembly. During the ceremony, worn United States flags were retired with the dignity and respect they deserve.
The ceremony honored the nation's flag and the values it represents, while continuing a tradition of respectfully retiring flags that are no longer suitable for display.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Knights presented Chapel of the Chimes Hayward with a commendation recognizing our team's support and dedication, including the contributions of MPO Salvador and FHM Makiah. The commendation was signed by Faithful Navigator Noel Limcolioc and District Marshal Ed Caron.
We are grateful to the Knights of Columbus for their service to our community and country, and for recognizing our team's involvement in this meaningful ceremony.
