We've learned a lot about caring for families over the years. We realize that we aren't just caring for a loved one, but the entire family. People come to us during their most difficult times, and we respond with kindness, understanding and expertise. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home as we work with them to create a memorable service in honor of a beautiful life.

Chapel of the Chimes Hayward Funeral Home and Memorial Park has deep roots in the East Bay’s diverse cultural and ethnic community, having served families in the area since 1872.

Sal Orozco
Managing Partner, Operations
Salvador (Sal) Orozco is a seasoned indivisual in the funeral and cemetery industry, bringing over 18 years of experience to his role at Chapel of The Chimes. As a Southern California native who relocated to the Bay Area in 2020, Sal embodies a strong commitment to both professional excellence and community engagement.
Since entering the industry in 2006, Sal has acquired several key licenses that establish him as a versatile leader. His qualifications include being a licensed funeral director, broker, cemetery manager, and crematory manager. These certifications not only underscore his expertise but also reflect his dedication to providing compassionate care during life’s most challenging moments.
At Chapel of The Chimes, Sal merges his extensive operational knowledge with sales acumen. His leadership philosophy revolves around instilling passion and dedication within the organization he directs. This approach has enabled him to foster an environment where both staff and clients feel valued and supported.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Sal is deeply engaged in his local community. He actively participates in various organizations such as the Rotary Club, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chamber of Commerce, Unforgettable, and numerous religious entities. This involvement shows Sal's commitment not just to business but also to uplifting those around him.
His community outreach efforts extend beyond mere participation; they reflect an intrinsic belief in giving back. By investing time and resources into these organizations, Sal exemplifies what it means to be a responsible corporate citizen—one who prioritizes social impact alongside business success.
Outside of work and community service, Sal is a devoted family man with four children. His move to the Bay Area was motivated by both personal growth opportunities for his family and professional advancement after a successful career in Southern California.
Sal balances his family life with an active lifestyle that includes gym workouts and hiking excursions. He is known for being an enthusiastic supporter of his children’s sports and social activities, an embodiment of parental dedication that resonates well with many families today.
In addition to family commitments, Sal is passionate about healthy living and culinary experiences. He enjoys exploring wineries in Napa Valley and Temecula while pairing these experiences with nutritious eating habits for himself and his family. This holistic approach reflects a broader understanding of wellness that encompasses physical health as well as emotional well-being.

George Retsinas
Managing Partner, Family Service
George is the Managing Partner, Family Service and joined the Chapel of the Chimes team in Hayward, after moving from Phoenix, Arizona. George is very excited to serve this vibrant and diverse community as well as take in all of the new experiences Hayward has to offer. In his spare time, George enjoys exploring his new surroundings and watch collecting.

Nicolette Nava
Funeral Home Manager
Nicolette serves as Funeral Home Manager for Chapel of the Chimes Hayward, leading a strong team of funeral professionals. Prior to joining the team, Nicolette excelled in the hospitality industry overseeing staff and operations while enriching quality customer experience. Nicolette graduated from St. Mary's College of California with a degree in business and economics. As a Hayward native, Nicolette passionately serves her community that has nurtured her family for generations. With dedication and commitment, Nicolette ensures that every family who walks through our doors experiences care, compassion and professionalism.

Silvia Hernandez
Receptionist
Silvia Hernandez was born in El Salvador, Central America. She immigrated to California at ten years old and spent her adolescent years in Daly City, CA. Throughout her life, she has primarily lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and East Bay. Silvia has been working at the Chapel of Chimes for five years as a Receptionist. Her passion is assisting grieving families by showing compassion and care during their most difficult times, especially when they are arranging and attending funeral services for their loved ones who have passed. She enjoys working in the front reception area, where she is usually the first point of contact for families walking inside the building. Silvia looks forward to coming to work every day. Her infectious smile and bright personality illuminate any room and make everyone around her, colleagues and families, feel supported and loved.

Stacie Preciado
Receptionist
Stacie was born at Travis Airforce Base, and is now a married mother of three. She has lived in San Leandro for over 40 years. While Stacie has been at Chapel of the Chimes for only a short time, she enjoys meeting new people and assisting them. For fun, Stacie enjoys searching out and collecting unique Starbucks cards.

Jennifer Lara
Call Center Agent
Jennifer is proud to be working for Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. She has lived in this city her entire life and is honored to serve her community.
She has worked as a funeral associate and her current role is in daily operations.
She loves reading and watching movies.

Sergio Mendoza
Family Service Supervisor
Sergio is a Union City native and has been with Chapel of the Chimes since 2018. He is fluent in Spanish and takes pride in servicing his community. He previously worked in the wireless industry for 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family and friends. Â

Tabitha Carreon
Family Service Supervisor
Tabitha is the Family Service Supervisor and is extremely proud to be a part of the team at Chapel of the Chimes. She has over 9 years of cemetery experience, bringing 7 of those years with her from a sister location across the Bay. She is passionate about helping families plan for their current or future needs. She is a Bay Area native, fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, loves traveling (former flight attendant), cheering for the Warriors, and an avid boba drinker.Â

Alana Barragan
Family Service Advisor
Alana is a Family Service Advisor at Chapel of the Chimes and a Bay Area native who is passionate about helping her community. With an extensive background in customer service and management, she uses her skills to support families during difficult times, helping to make the process a little easier. In her free time, Alana enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, watching sports, and relaxing with movies and tv, in the company of family and friends.

Sandy Nguyen
Family Service Advisor
Sandy is a Family Service Advisor at Chapel of the Chimes. Her favorite part of working here is being able to connect with families and bring comfort, compassion, and good quality care at one of the most difficult periods of their lives. Sandy's line of work allows her to leave every day with gratitude for interaction with loved ones, and the gift of time. She speaks fluent Vietnamese, please let her know how she can assist in any way.

Sedi "Michael" Win
Family Service Advisor
Sedi is a Family Service Advisor who is honored to be part of this Hayward team and to serve families from all walks of life. His main priority is to make the process easier for families during this difficult time. Prior to this role at Chapel of the Chimes, Sedi has worked in healthcare, public sector, and customer-service industry for more than two decades. Sedi is kind, responsive and reliable. He will go the extra mile to honor the memory of your loved ones.

Vanecia Lourenco
Funeral Arranger
Vanecia is apart of the Family Service department here at Chapel of the Chimes. She looks forward to helping families in need during one of their hardest times. She has been apart of the customer service industry for about 8 years, so being part of something more where she can really bring a light to the darkness has been very awarding. In her free time she really enjoys cooking, being in nature, going on hikes and adding more vegetables to her garden.

Community Service Advisor
After working as an experienced and skilled professional in Health Care and Investment Industry, Elenor brings her passion for customer service to Chapel of the Chimes. She enjoys connecting with families of all cultures and is fluent in English and "Tagalog". Her love of service can be seen in her commitment to providing the highest level of care and in doing whatever it takes to serve your family. Elenor can create a foundation to prepare you, your family, and friends in the coziness of your home, our warm facility, or any place you feel comfortable to discuss and carrying out your final wishes.

Evelyn Castro Bambao
Community Service Advisor
Evelyn has dedicated 24 years of her life helping families plan their Pre Need Memorials. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoys ballroom dancing, and has taught swimming lessons to hundredrs of children and adults over the years. Evelyn graduated with a BSBA, major in Accounting. She is eager to help families in their pre needs.

Rocio "Rosie" Regalado
Funeral Director
Rocio Regalado has been with Chapel of the Chimes since 2017. She is passionate about serving her families through some of the most difficult times in their lives. She is fluent in Spanish which has proven beneficial in her role, as she is able to offer comfort and guidance to families in their native language.Â

Ashlin Wyatt
Funeral Arranger
Ashlin is a self proclaimed weirdo who has a love for computers and art. She spends her free time playing video games or designing novelty coffee mugs or shirts. Graphic design has led her to combine her two hobbies into a career. Ashlin's position here allows her to hear the life stories of those who have passed on and bring those stories to life through graphic design in order to share them for years to come and keep the memory alive.Â

Jeffrey Orozco Jr.
Funeral Arranger
Jeffrey is a second generation funeral professional with over 10 years of experience in the industry, who also has a degree in mortuary science. He is a local resident to Union City and is involved within the community. He looks forward to meeting with families and individuals to help them navigate through their situations with compassion and clarity.

Nancy Wargo
Funeral Arranger
After wrapping up a successful career spanning more than three decades as a Sales Manager in the Electronics Industry, Nancy chose to focus on a profession where she could help people. In 2013 Nancy joined Chapel of the Chimes as a cemetery salesperson and remained in that position until 2015, when she decided to become a Funeral Arranger. Nancy believes she found her true calling as an Arranger and finds it extremely fulfilling to assist a family in planning services for their loved one that are personal and comforting, as well as memorable.

Alice Smith
Embalmer
Alice Smith is an experienced funeral professional who has attended mortuary school in New York City. Alice is devoted to working in the care center and looks forward to helping families and individuals with their needs.

Germaine Anderson
Funeral Support Supervisor
Germaine Anderson serves as our Funeral Support Supervisor with fifteen years of experience in the Funeral Profession. He has a proven track record of leadership success, team building, and customer satisfaction. He is known for his attention to detail, class, and business etiquette. He is dedicated to the overall mission/goal of Chapel of the Chimes and strives for excellence in exceeding customer expectations.Â

Milosh Bell
Funeral Support Supervisor
After spending many years in customer service, Milosh first joined Chapel of the Chimes Hayward as a funeral assistant in 2006 and later as a funeral arranger. Providing excellent customer service is his passion, and it's what continues to motivate him to thrive for greatness. Born in Vicksburg Mississippi he later moved to San Francisco California as an early teen, furthering his education and customer service skills. Milosh has lived in various cities throughout the Bay Area. Milosh has been happily married for 19 years, and has five beautiful children and three lovely grandchildren with one on the way. He takes pride in caring for his family as well as continuing to serve others.

Becca Jackson
Funeral Associate
Becca has been honored to carry on hr late mother's legacy at Chapel of the Chimes for the past 18 years. She has a huge heart of compassion for each family she helps and she is very proud to be a part of the team at Chapel of the Chimes. Her number one goal is to give each family a beautiful Celebration of Life for their loved one.

Daniel Phin
Funeral Associate
Daniel Phin is a Funeral Associate here at Chapel of the Chimes Hayward and is proud to serve the families and community. Daniel loves his job and utilizes many of the skills he has developed in his life to better serve families.

Jessica Martinez-Ambriz
Senior Clerical and Administrative Specialist
Jessica Martinez has been with Chapel of the Chimes Hayward for 7 years and has had many roles over the years prior to settling into the role of Senior Clerical and Administrative Specialist. She enjoys working with the Funeral Team closely as well as working with the community she grew up in, and serving the Bay Area. Jessica is a mother of one boy and also a new dog mom to a Corgi. She enjoys her time off by spending time with her husband and child and new dog by taking walks at the Bay Area trails and going to sporting events with her family!Â

Rebeca Torres-Rodriguez
Clerical and Administrative Specialist II
Rebeca is part of the administration team here at Chapel of the Chimes. Even though she spends time behind the scenes, she truly values the opportunity to be there for families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Rebeca is a Bay Area native with a passion for plants, animals and learning. She has three rescued cats (who basically have taken over her home), pet spiders, and frogs. In her free time Rebeca loves to read, dance and watch movies.

Stephanie Coretana
Clerical and Administrative Specialist II
Stephanie is a Clerical and Administrative Specialist here at Chapel of the Chimes Hayward. She brings a wealth of experience with 10 years of customer service and a 5 years of involvement in a Funeral Service Profession with the expertise in managing office operations. Stephanie’s dedication to her profession is evident in her continued commitment, consistently seeking out opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills to better serve the families. She is an advocate for the families, providing compassionate and empathetic support to ensure that families receive the care and attention they deserve.

Luis Lopez
Clerical and Administrative Specialist I
Luis has been with Chapel of the Chimes Hayward for 8 years and counting. He started off as a Funeral Assistants guiding our families during their loved ones services and offering any help he could give to our families in need and the community he grew up in. He then moved over to the crematory and learned so much in that position. He is currently loving his position as a Clerical & Admin Specialist and enjoys all the work he does helping our families/community.

O'Netale Guevara
Clerical and Administrative Specialist I
My name is O’netale Guevara and I’m very excited to be joining the team! I am currently a part-time student looking to expand my experience in the work force. Chapel of the Chimes feels like the perfect place and opportunity to do just that.
Aside from work and school, I’d describe myself as a music-loving homebody who is also a proud mom of a 4-year old French Bulldog named Princess Mukie. This marks a new chapter in life and I’m eager to see where it takes me!

Sochil Rivas
Clerical and Administrative Specialist I
Sochil received her Associate in Science Degree in Computer Science from Merced College. While new to the industry, she is excited to learn and help the community.
In her personal time, Sochil enjoys assister her sister in her garden and spending time with family and pets.
