Zenaida Francisco's Obituary
Zenaida “Zeny” Francisco passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016. Zenaida was born September 8, 1934 in Manila Philippines, the second oldest of nine children of the late Gerardo and Lorenza Intertas. She attended the University of Santo Thomas where she received a BA degree in Home Economics. She immigrated to San Francisco, California in 1962 where she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in nutrition. She married Alfredo Francisco in 1962 and her life as a Navy wife took her to Alaska, Washington, D.C., Monterey, and finally Union City, California. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her husband and children: Jo Francisco Carey and husband Steve, Gigi Francisco-Oliver and husband Bob, Al Francisco, Jr. and wife Sharon. Her four grandchildren Giana Oliver, Alyssa Francisco, Spencer Carey, and Jalen Carey will forever remember her generous devotion and love. Zenaida is survived by seven sisters: Angie Mendoza and husband Modesto, Lourdes Ambrosio and husband Vergel, Josefina Quiazon, Aurora Penner and husband Jon, Cora Intertas, Julie Principe, Helen Ying and husband Wing. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerry Intertas, Jr. and survived by his wife Gloria. She was much loved by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. All of Zenaida’s family and friends will remember her wit, laughter, generosity, and amazing cooking.
