Yvonne was born in Alameda, California and moved with her family to Newark at a young age. Yvonne met the love of her life, Frank Gygax at his family’s general store. Frank and Yvonne were married for 28 wonderful years before he passed away in 1975. They raised their 4 children in Fremont and loved to spend time at Castlewood Country Club or having fun gatherings with family and friends. Yvonne spent many years watching her kids play sports or volunteering in the community as well as helping her husband Frank with his Real Estate Business (Gygax Realty). Yvonne loved her family and after she raised her kids she spent many summers and every holiday with her grandchildren or attending their school and sporting events. Yvonne also loved to golf and play bridge. After many years in Fremont Yvonne moved to Pleasanton to be closer to Castlewood Country Club. Yvonne had many passions including reading, cooking, golfing, music, sports, playing cards and shopping. Most of all she loved being with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yvonne’s beautiful smile, keen sense of humor and fun energy was contagious and would light up every room. Everyone loved to be around her fun, feisty, loving personality. Yvonne lived a long life and she will be missed tremendously by her family and friends but her love will live on in everyone she knew.
There will be a private service for close family. In lieu of flowers and if you would like you can make a donation to the charity of your choice.
