The family of the late Daw Yee (Wu Chiou Yuehyih) wishes to express sincere thanks and appreciation to all friends and relatives who have showed their love and kindness through your prayers, visits, and support during our time of mourning. Your support has and continues to be a great source of encouragement. May Buddha bless each one of you.Daw Yee passed peacefully from this life on the morning of June 13th, 2017 at 1:30 am after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.Daw Yee was born in Insein, Myanmar on March 19, 1921, and married to Wu Rutsann in 1938. They have 11 wonderful children and her husband passed away in 1980. Due to the unstable political climate in Myanmar, she and her family left Myanmar to Taiwan in 1982, and then immigrated to Canada with some of her children in 1983. Eventually, the whole family reunited and has settled down in the cities of San Francisco and Union City since 1992. Daw Yee was a devoted mom and dedicated much of her time and energy to support her family.Daw Yee is survived by her 11 children and spouses, 12 grandchildren, and one younger sister, Daw Nyo.
