Yee Lin Chan Yip's Obituary
Yee Lin Chan Yip passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2017 at the age of 90. She was born on September 3, 1926 to her parents Fan Mak and Yuet Ho in Hong Kong. At the time of war, life was tough and she was adopted by a relative’s family. Her last name was changed to Chan.She married Hoi Yip in 1945, and had three sons and two daughters. She became a widow n 1958. Thereafter, as a single mother, she struggled to raise her five children and managed the family business. Yee Lin accepted Christ when she was in Hong Kong. She immigrated to the United States in 1978, and resided in Fremont for 36 years.Yee Lin enjoyed traveling, watching Cantonese opera, and having dim-sum. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons : Jonathan, Jim, Chester, and daughter Vera, along with her three daughters-in-law : Helena, Margaret, Yvonne; seven grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Hoi Yip and daughter Ping.
