Winfred Leon Cameron a San Leandro, California resident entered into rest Monday, July 21, 2003 in San Leandro. Born in Sanford, North Carolina on November 17, 1920, he was 82 years of age. Winfred was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, he left with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked as an engineer for Bendix, then General Electric where he retired. He enjoyed flying (he was a private pilot), working in the garden and he was an auto and train enthusiast. He went to the University of Missouri-Columbia. Loving father of Peter Cameron of Alameda, CA. Dear brother of Jean Crutchfield of Greensboro, NC, Janice Cameron of Greensboro, NC, Martha Smith of Silver City, NC, W.A. "Bill" Cameron of Greensboro, NC, Reid Cameron of Panama City, NC and David Cameron of Greenville, SC. Devoted grandfather of one grandchild.Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 890 Fargo Avenue, San Leandro, CA 94579.Memorial donations may be to Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, C/O Borel Bank and Trust, P.O.
