Willie Mae Benavidez's Obituary
Willie Mae Benavidez Oct. 16, 1925 May 15, 2012 Resident of Hayward Our most precious Willie Mae entered through the pearly gates of heaven at age 86 on May 15, 2012. During her midday slumber the Lord gently and peacefully ushered her into her heavenly mansion where she was given a beautiful crown of jewels. She was a valiant follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. She embodied love in its truest form and was a constant giver to all. Clothed in wisdom, she daily meditated on the word of God reciting scriptures as the Holy Spirit led, teaching and enriching the lives of everyone. As a gifted poet, we will treasure her poetry. Willie Mae’s legacy will be forever imprinted on the hearts of her family and friends. We will miss her radiant smile, tender kisses, loving embraces, and lively spirit. Willie Mae is survived by her loving husband Norbert Knight, devoted children, Betty Jo High, Charles, Fredrick and Gregory Benavidez and the late John Benavidez (1970), fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grand children and her sisters, Betty Livingston, Rose Hughes and Lois Jordan. Services will be held Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 11am at the Bridge of Faith, 27343 Whitman Street in Hayward. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charlie, at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
