William "Bill" Underhill's Obituary
William "Bill" Underhill a San Lorenzo resident entered into rest Wednesday, October 10, 2001 in San Lorenzo. Born in Hayward on July 10, 1918, he was 83 years of age. Bill was a forklift driver for Hunt Wesson Foods Co. for 48 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed stamp collecting, woodworking and gardening. He was a member of the Rockwell Society. He and his late wife also donated money to have their names inscribed in the plaque at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty.Loving father of Vickie Wells of San Lorenzo, Carol Wallen of Dallas, Texas and Roger Underhill of Texas. Devoted grandfather of six grandchildren and many great-grandchildrenFriends are welcome to attend a Memorial service Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA."Service of Marked Distinction"
