William Schwoyer's Obituary
WILLIAM JOSEPH SCHWOYER William Joseph Schwoyer Feb. 28, 1921 – Dec. 22, 2006 Resident of San Lorenzo When William was 16 years old, his lifelong enjoyment of golfing and bowling began. William served in the military from August 1942 until February 1946, and then for the next 62 years, he lived in the same house in San Lorenzo. He was very active in the San Lorenzo Community Church for 62 years. He sang in the church choir for 60 of those years and served at church as deacon for over 30 years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Pauline Schwoyer; his loving sons, Craig Joseph Schwoyer (Kathryn) of Livermore, CA, and Kirk William Schwoyer (Debra) of Reno, Nevada; grandsons, Michael Schwoyer of Tracy and Mathew Schwoyer of Livermore; two brothers, Harvey and Robert Schwoyer; and three sisters, Hope, Catherine and Betty, all of Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at San Lorenzo Community Church, 945 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Drew Nettinga officiating on December 30, 2006. The family wishes that any memorials be made to the San Lorenzo Community Church’s Maintenance Fund.
