William R. Pimentel's Obituary
William Pimentel, 93 was born on February 25, 1908 in Oakland, California and went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2002 in Hayward, California. He was a resident of Hayward, California for 41 years. He was known for his expertise in furniture refinishing from business owner to adult schoolteacher. His students refereed to him as "a bulldog of a man". He leaves behind a wife of 51 years, Adele, a son and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Marie Pimentel and step-grandson, Chris. A daughter and son-in-law, Adele and Bill Galli and granddaughters Adele Jeane and Dawn Lauren. He also leaves a sister, Annabelle Souza and a brother, David Pimentel. He was a Marine, who served in the Pacific during WWII. He enjoyed being a part of the "Castro Valley McDonalds Breakfast Seniors". Even though he was a season ticket holder for the Oakland A's, his heart belonged to the Oakland Oaks. He enjoyed life, especially his family and friends. He loved to travel and stay active. He touched the lives of many and will truly be missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church; 20080 Redwood Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546 a Celebration of Life will immediately follow the service at his son, Robert's home (510) 886-0834.The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be sent in his memory to your favorite charity.CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK & FUNERAL HOME -HAYWARD, CA (510) 471-3363."SERVICE OF MARKED DISTINCTION"
