William ãBillä James Castro a Hayward, California resident entered into rest Friday, March 8, 2002 in Hayward, California. Born in San Leandro, California on September 5, 1921 he was 80 years of age. Bill was a member of the Moose Club and Spanish Club. He was a musician for Chinese Funerals in San Francisco and for Portuguese Holy Gosts Fiestas in Alameda County. Bill was a Union Representative for the Alameda, San Francisco and San Jose Musicians Unions at one time. He enjoyed playing poker 5 days a week with his friends. He also worked for Freedanâs as an Expiditor.Dearly beloved husband of Mildred Castro. Loving father of Debra Castro of Hayward, California, Jerry W. and Donna Castro of Richmond, California, Kenny W. Castro of Sacramento, California, and Tommy Castro of California. Dear brother of Margaret Trujillo of San Leandro, California and George Castro of Cameron Park, California. Devoted grandfather of ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2002 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service Thursday, March 14, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.ãService of Marked Distinctionä
