William "Bill" Lee's Obituary
We announce the passing of our loved one, Bill, age 90 years 8 monrhs. Hw had much love in his life. Bill was born in San Diego, CA and lived in Oakland while growing up. He lived in Hayward, CA from 1959- his passing on July 18th. Bill and his wife, Geneva, were married 56 years. He was able to stay home until the end, with care from his wife, Geneva, daughter Deborah and the “Angels Hospice” team, whom were just wonderful and caring. They provided everything he needed. Bill was a Merchant Marine for a few years. He was an Iron Worker at Iron Craft in Oakland for many years. He also started his own company, Leeway Iron Works in San Leandro. Bill is survived by his wife, Geneva and daughter Deborah Hertz, her husband Mark, sisters, Ellen Cockril of Oregon and Ethel Lee of Florida, grandchildren, Jason Ruth, Mark Ruth, Amber Ruth Dew, Vanessa Perkins and Steven Petrilli, Jr, Nine great grandchildren, lots of nieces and nephews. Preceding him death is son, Steven Petrilli, Sr, Parents, William Lee and Cordelia Louthan, brother Strivers Lee and sister, Dorothy Demian, his brother in law and fishing buddy Carl Alsup and his oldest friend, Llyod Kettner. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Angel Hospice.
