Wenceslao Navarro Malogan's Obituary
Wenceslao “Wencie/Winnie” Navarro Malogan, 76, of Hayward, California, passed away peacefully at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California on October 11, 2022 with his family by his side. Wencie suffered from bile duct cancer.
Wencie was born on September 28, 1946 in Pangasinan, Philippines, son of Gregorio and Juana Malogan. He was the fifth of eight children from two families: Four siblings from Gregorio and Juana and three half-siblings from Gregorio and Rosario Malogan. He graduated from the University of Pangasinan with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He married Alicia Ramos Malogan on September 5, 1976. The family, along with many friends, has lost the kindest and most generous human being on this planet. Wencie loved supporting his family, friends, and charities. He gave what he could even at times when he could not afford it. He lived to make others happy. His sense of humor and love of life will be greatly missed. His passions were gardening, watching basketball games, especially the Warriors, on TV, and spending time with the family.
Wencie began his career as an architect in the Philippines, but took on any job (up to three at a time) when he moved to the USA in 1986 so that he could save enough money to reunite with his family. He retired in April 2015 from Safeway Corporate Headquarters. After retirement Wencie visited family and friends in the Philippines and babysat his grandchildren in California and New York. Those who will miss Wencie the most include his wife, daughter - Aileen R. Malogan and her husband Izzy, sons - Aldwin R. Malogan and Alvin “Boyet” Malogan and his wife Gladys, grandson - Gavin, granddaughters - Bela, Carmen & Alayna, sister - Lourdes Bautista, brother - Jose Malogan, half-sister - Anita Malogan Rabadon, half-brothers - Rowel Urbano Malogan and Ronaldo Urbano Malogan, other family members including mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, a host of close friends, and former colleagues. He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and siblings.
