Wayne F. Ellis' Obituary
Wayne Franklin Ellis a San Leandro resident entered into rest Sunday April 27, 2003 in San Leandro, California. Born in Emerson, Iowa on March 10, 1916, he was 87 years of age. Wayne retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 20 years of service and from the U.S. Post Office after 20 years. He then worked for Washington Inventory Service for more than 10 years. Wayne loved his family and foster children numbering up to 40 through out their 58 years of marriage. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.Dearly beloved husband of Ruth J. Ellis of 58 years. He was preceded in death by his sister Merna Carter and two brothers Russel and James Ellis.Visitation will be held Thursday May 1st from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral service in celebration of his life that will be held at Aurora Drive Baptist Church 13067 Aurora Drive San Leandro at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 2nd, 2003.'Service of Marked Distinction'
