Walter "Walt" Standart, Jr.'s Obituary
July 9, 1933 – June 5, 2008 Resident of Castro Valley Walt passed away at home with family on Thursday, June 5, 2008. He was 74 years old and a resident of Castro Valley. He was born and raised in Oakland, CA. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and golfing. He worked as a Supervisor for AT&T, formerly Pacific Telephone Company, for 37 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Douglas Jaccard of Dublin; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff & Kristie Standart of Dublin; and his grandsons, Kevin & Brian Standart. He is also survived by Julie Darling of Castro Valley, whom he thought of as another daughter, and her husband, Mike and children Kaitlyn and Jared. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward on Wednesday, June 11 at 1:30pm.
