Walter Imbrulia's Obituary
Walter Joseph Imbrulia Jan. 20, 1916 – June 1, 2009 Resident of Hayward Walter passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009 in his home at the age of 93. He was born in Alameda, California. He owned and operated Western Aircraft & Engine Service at the Hayward Airport. Walter won 2nd place at the 1964 Speed Division of the Hayward/Las Vegas Air Race. Walter was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges and RV Groups. He is survived by his children: Susan Imbrulia and Karen Duke of Castro Valley, CA; Granddaughter, Stacey (Ron) Maher; Great-grandchildren: Jake, Katie and Logan. Niece, Arlene McCalhum. Step-children: Vickie Stevens and Dave Coe; grandchildren: Kimberly and Derek; great-grandchildren: Contessa and Crystal; Predeceased by Dorothy Imbrulia (1996). A visitation will be held on Tue., June 9th from 4:30-8:30pm and a Funeral service on Wed., June 10th at 10:00am with burial to follow. All services will be at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544. A reception will be held at 1:00pm at the Moose Lodge of Hayward-Castro Valley, 20835 Rutledge Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Moose Lodge of Hayward-Castro Valley 1491 or Pathways Hospice.
