Wallace Heglund's Obituary
Wallace R. (“Wally”) Heglund passed away peacefully at Washington Hospital, Fremont, CA on January 17, 2015, he was 82. May his soul rest now and forever in the peace of Christ. A native Californian, Wally was born in Sacramento, CA, graduated from Sacramento High in 1951, joined the National Guard, and pursued a career in power transmissions supply sales. He married Arlene Aievoli (Davies) in 1955 and had three children. He is survived by his former wife and children, Judy McNulty and her husband John of Diablo, Sherry Rider and her husband Dave of Valley Springs and David Heglund of Gold River; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Mason since 1972, Wally was a member of Three Pillars, now Provident-Three Pillars Lodge, Alameda Lodge and Siminoff Daylight Lodge. He was also a member of the Elks and held memberships in both Sacramento and Carmichael. He retired to the Masonic Home, Union City in 2004. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2 p.m., Siminoff Chapel, Masonic Home, 34400 Mission Blvd., Union City, CA. Donations may be made to the Masonic Home, Union City or to the American Diabetes Association.
