Vivien Edward Walker, Jr., 58 entered into rest on Saturday, December 15, 2001 at his home in Hayward, California. He was born on September 23, 1943 in Richmond, Virginia. He was a Hayward, California resident for 27 years. He always enjoyed fishing. He served in the U.S. Navy and Airforce. He was retired after 32 years in March of 1998 from Pacific Bell Telephone Company as a Technician. He graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1961. He sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Mattie Walker of Hayward, California. He is the dear son of Barbara Johnson of Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his dear father, Vivien Edward Walker, Sr. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Michelle Walker and to his son, Joseph Walker both of Hayward, California. He leaves behind his brother, Collins Walker of Point Richmond, California. He also leaves behind his two wonderful grandchildren.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, December 18, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. ' 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home; 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544.
