Virginia Swihart's Obituary
Virginia Elinor Swihart, a 47 year resident of Fremont entered into rest Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at Washington Hospital. She was born in Glendale, Ca. on July 3, 1930, passed at age 71.Virginia was a gifted educator who served as a teacher in Fremont and New Haven Unified School Districts. A principal of Cabello Elementary for 10 years. After many dedicated years she retired in 1991 as Director of Staff Development in New Haven Unified. She loved reading, gardening, traveling and her family. She was the former wife of Mr. John A. Swihart who preceded her in death in 1985. Dearly beloved mother of three daughters; Lynne Marie Thomson & husband Michael of Fremont, Patricia Kay Swihart of Fairbanks, AK and the late Nancy Ann Swihart. One son; Timothy Brian Swihart & wife Coleen of Sherwood, Or. Dear sister of John T. Willemsen of Spokane, WA. Special grandmother of four; David Alexander Thomson and Megan Elizabeth Thomson both of Fremont, Ca. Brian Christopher Swihart and Eric Cyrus Swihart both of Sherwood, Or. Besides her immediate family, Virginia will be missed dearly by all of those she touched. All of her dedicated years in education will never be forgotten.
