Philpot Virginia 'Ginger' Philpot Passed away on January 20, 2008 at her home in Hayward at the age of 82. Survived by her loving daughters and son, Donna Powers, Susan Miner, and Dan Philpot; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is remembered by most as 'Ginger', the vibrant owner of the Italian Pizza Restaurant in the Gourmet House in south Hayward. She is also known as 'Nannie' by her beloved grandchildren and those closest to her. Virginia was preceded in death by her late husband, James P. Philpot Jr. Visitation will be held Friday, January 25th from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26th at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS located at 26101 Gading Road, Hayward, CA. Internment at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA, following the funeral.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kaiser Hospice 235 W.
